Tune In Tomorrow
Well, no news is...no news. I actually called this afternoon because I couldn't take it anymore. And the ridiculously nice gentleman on the phone told me that our doctor has been really sick for the last two days. He also looked up Aspen's chart and discovered that her blood work isn't back yet either...so tune in tomorrow...same bat channel, same bat time. For another episode.

Alicia,
I'm not sure how to use this website but thank you for keeping up us to date on the website. We are praying that Aspen will be well soon. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to wait for information.
I have been reading book of Philippians which I like because its shorter than many other books and talks about what Apostle Paul went through. I came to chapter 3 which talked about "pressing on toward the goal." Please continue to hang in there - especially to Aspen, you, Ken, and Sierra. Love, Paul of Paul, Gail, Kathryn, and Carolyn
Alicia,
Cousin Pat here, Bob's sister Judy's son. My dad forwarded an e-mail Sherrie had sent him telling us about Aspen's journey. Your posts are incredible, full of the kinds of details that we often overlook when others are trying to figure "what to say." You're right - we don't know what to say unless we've been there, and I haven't. So we'll think of you and Aspen and your family and you'll be in our prayers.
I think guilt comes into play as well. My daughters, 14 and 11, are healthy, bright, active young women, and when we see others who are suffering we ask ourselves why we get the break in life. Why does God make some suffer and others not? If people are awkward around you, this might be a reason. They love you no less, and even more, but they don't want to make you feel bad.
I can say that Doernbecher is a wonderful place. I toured the cancer ward a few years ago with Kiwanis when our La Grande club donated some money. It's the right place for Aspen and they'll do everything they can to stay positive.
Stay positive. We're thinking of all of you and praying for all of you.
